JMM x Muhammad Ali

A commanding silhouette for moments of composure and clarity, these limited-edition spectacles are named for the capital of Zaire (now Democratic Republic of the Congo), where Muhammad Ali fought in the legendary “Rumble in the Jungle.” Inspired by the glasses Muhammad wore during a 1968 press conference at UCLA, where he spoke with calm authority about the cultural climate of America, a moment of profound gravitas mirrored in the evocative presence of this masterfully crafted collectible.

Beskrivelse

Limited-edition spectacles are received in a signature monograph box set in black faux leather, which includes one of two custom eyewear cases handcrafted in Italy—our signature envelope case for the Kinshasa, or our monolith case for the Louisville—as well as an oversized cleaning cloth featuring a photographic print of Muhammad Ali during “The Thrilla in Manila,” and a letterpress authenticity card featuring collection notes and craftsman’s signature.

Clean your glasses daily using a non-alcohol based lens cleaning spray and the provided microfiber cleaning cloth. Avoid using water or soap to clean your frames, as this may cause oxidation of the wirecore and hinges. To extend the product’s lifespan, keep eyewear out of extreme heat to avoid risk of distortion, and always protect your glasses by storing in the provided JMM eyewear case.
