Karmoie is our own brand, built on our values and designed here in Oslo, in the atelier at the back of our store.
The collection is characterized by clean, classic models in natural, flattering colors, adapted to Norwegian faces and proportions. Our frames are meticulously handmade in Italy from Italian bio-acetate. The sun lenses are supplied by Zeiss and meet the highest standards for optics, eye health, and visual comfort.
Karmoie is based in our store, where we also keep the full stock, making it a short distance from “farm to table.” This means we can easily repair or replace your frames if accidents happen. We always carry the full collection in-store.
We started Karmoie in 2010 because we felt there were far too few eyewear brands focusing on sustainability and philanthropy (in fact, almost none!). Things have improved somewhat since then, and more brands are now conscious about being part of a positive change in the industry. We bring our conscience into every decision we make, big or small, and continuously work to improve. For every Karmoie frame or sunglass we sell, we donate a pair of glasses to someone in need.
