A new and exciting brand from Marseille. Pontet Eyewear was launched in Paris in the fall of 2021, but the Pontet family has been in the eyewear business for four generations.
Growing up surrounded by glasses, young Hermes Pontet wanted to add his own twist to the family tradition.
With this ambition, he launched his own brand in the fall of 2021.
In Greek mythology, Hermes is the god of thieves, but also the god of travel, the guardian of roads, and the messenger of Olympus. He personifies adventure and mischief. Hermes Pontet has built part of the brand’s identity around these qualities, bringing wanderlust and imagination into his aesthetic universe.
Hermes Pontet draws inspiration from the Mediterranean, with each collection based on a destination in the region. The first collection is a journey through Egypt, inspired by its architecture, landscapes, animals, and mythology.
